Upper floor level (UFL) means a finished floor level, which is greater than 1.5 metres above datum ground level at any point.
An upper floor level is any finished floor level that is more than 1.5 metres above datum ground level at any point. Because the test applies at any point, a floor on a steep or sloping block can be classified as an upper floor even if it meets the ground near another side of the building. Upper-floor classification can trigger different setback, privacy, envelope and solar-access controls.
