Residential block means a block that has at least one of the following characteristics:a) zoned residentialb) affected by a lease which authorises residential use but does not include any land intended to remain as unleased Territory land or public open space.
A residential block is land that is either zoned residential or covered by a lease authorising residential use. The definition excludes land intended to remain public open space or other unleased Territory land. A residential classification does not by itself approve a particular house, secondary residence, dual occupancy or subdivision; the specific zone, lease and development controls still need to be checked.
