Front zone means the area of a block between the front boundary and the building line or at the minimum front setback of the lower floor level for the block whichever is greater. (Note: for the purpose of this definition, the front zone shall not be more than 10m from the front boundary).
The front zone is the part of the block between the front boundary and the applicable building line or minimum front setback, whichever places the line farther into the block. For this definition, the front zone is capped at 10 metres from the front boundary. It is the area normally read as the front-yard portion of the site, and special controls may apply to buildings, parking, landscaping and fences within it.
