Legal Meaning

Consolidation means the surrender of 2 or more leases held by the same lessee and the grant of a new lease or leases to the lessee to consolidate the parcels of land described in the surrendered leases.

Plain English

Consolidation merges parcels so they are dealt with as one block. It may support coordinated redevelopment, but it can also change which site-specific provisions, original-block calculations or servicing arrangements apply.
