Legal Meaning

The final or most recent version of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) (or previous EIS exemption) application that has been provided to the Authority or considered by the Minister. The EIS details the environmental impacts, public consultation that has occurred, key findings, and measures to avoid or mitigate impacts of the development proposal.

Plain English

The latest version of the document submitted to the Authority, or considered by the Minister, that explains how the proposed development could affect the environment. It includes information about community consultation, the main findings, and the steps proposed to avoid, reduce or manage any environmental impacts.
