Primary building zone means the area between the front zone and a line projected 12m distant in a perpendicular line away from the front zone.
The primary building zone is the main strip of land intended for the principal building area. It begins behind the front zone and extends 12 metres farther into the block, measured at right angles to the front-zone line. The rear zone starts beyond it. The zoning of these parts of the block helps the planning rules distinguish the main house area from the front and rear portions of the site.
