Legal Meaning

Mid sized block means a block with an area greater than 250m2 but less than or equal to 500m2.

Plain English

A mid-sized block is larger than 250 square metres but no larger than 500 square metres. A 250-square-metre block is compact, while a 500-square-metre block is still mid-sized; the large-block category begins only above 500 square metres. The size category may change which residential development controls apply.
